2020 Public Service Collaborative – NEW

As we continue to adapt our programming in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the public service and nonprofit section of PRSA Richmond are teaming up to offer three Richmond-area nonprofit organizations an opportunity for some pro bono communications assistance.

Through the 2020 Public Service Collaborative, three local nonprofits will be selected to receive five virtual sessions between July and November during which PRSA members can volunteer to lend their expertise to provide support and mentoring. Programming for these sessions will be determined based on the need of the organizations that are selected, but sample session topics may include strategic communications planning, best practices in media relations and social media, and utilizing technology in today’s virtual world. There may also be opportunities to enlist the support of some communications students to offer pro bono services beyond the sessions.

While this opportunity is focused on non-PRSA members, we will welcome any PRSA members who are part of our nonprofit section to join these virtual sessions as silent participants. Participation would be optional.

The three nonprofit organizations will be selected following the application period which is open through 5 p.m. on June 30. Please share the below link with local nonprofits to be considered for the 2020 Public Service Collaborative with PRSA Richmond. We welcome entries from nonprofit organization employees, board members or volunteers.
