By Patrick Kane and Cameron McPherson, APR
Get ready to meet new professional contacts because April 24-28 is Student Connections Week.
Students are an important part of the PRSA Richmond chapter. Your ideas, feedback and enthusiasm for public relations is shaping our chapter – and industry.
We hope students and professionals alike will join for an exciting Student Connections Week this April. Here are several ways you can get involved:
- Re-ignite & Roll with PR Students on April 25: Join students and professionals for a fun night of networking and bowling at River City Roll from 5:30-7:30 p.m. It’s the perfect opportunity to practice your elevator speech before the luncheon later in the week. Register here.
- Register for a virtual “College Connections” session: Students can drop in for discussions with working pros at various times Friday, April 21 and Monday, May 1.
Students can register for a session here.
Professionals can sign-up here.
- Attend the luncheon on April 27: The luncheon is FREE for students in April. Please register and join us.
- Enter the 2023 PRSA Richmond Student Awards: PRSA Richmond will recognize outstanding undergraduate student work as part of the 2023 Virginia Public Relations Awards. There is no cost to enter! Submit by May 6 here.
Bonus: If you’re a student, Student Connections Week is a great time to apply for the Richmond PR Foundation’s annual scholarship program. The deadline to apply for the four $1,500 scholarships is May 31.
We can’t wait to meet you this April. Happy Student Connections Week!
