April President’s Message
Well, we did it. We launched a new website—from RFP to unveiling—in under two months. Never underestimate a group of public relations practitioners working under deadline!
With this redesign, our board chose to take a two-pronged approach. The website’s front end is built using WordPress, and the backend—where all your member information is managed—is powered by a robust customer relationship management (CRM) system called NEON.
Now that we’ve got a new website, here’s what we need you to do:
Activate Your Account
We moved over your contact information from our old member management platform but we didn’t port your usernames and passwords. To log in to the new site, you’ll need to create a new username and password.
To do so:
- Visit this URL: https://prsarichmond.z2systems.com/np/clients/prsarichmond/requestPassword.jsp
- Enter the e-mail address that was tied to your old web account
- You’ll receive a welcome e-mail that provides a personalized URL where you can establish a new login and password. If you don’t receive an e-mail, be sure to double check it’s not in your spam folder.
Register for the April Luncheon
Our biggest concern is making sure everyone gets logged in to the new system and is able to register for our April 29 luncheon—our next big event on the horizon. Once you’re logged in, you should be able to navigate to the “programs and events” section of the website and make your selection. Over the coming weeks, we’re going to work on better integrating some of the site’s forms, such as the event registration form. I’ll ask you to bear with us until then.
Send Us Your Feedback
If you find a form that’s not working properly or you are having difficulty logging in, please e-mail web@prsarichmond.org and we’ll get right on it.
Give Jenny Pedraza, APR a Big Thank You
When I asked Jenny Pedraza, APR to lead a special web development committee on very little notice (and during her past-president year no less!), I knew I was asking a lot. The number of hours she has put into this project over the past two months rival the hours she has devoted to her consulting practice and to her two small children. Thanks so much to Jenny, Matthew Levy at Five Mile Run, and the other members of the web development committee for giving PRSA Richmond such a beautiful and functional website.
