March 2020 President’s Message

Greetings, PRSA Richmond!

PRSA Richmond has many great offerings this month:

• Get with your colleagues to finalize your submissions to the Virginia Public Relations Awards. If you missed the early bird entry deadline, you still can submit by March 6 OR the better-late-than-never extended deadline of March 9, my birthday.
• Attend a special section networking event. For solo practitioners and seasoned professionals with 15+ years of experience, we’re giving you reasons to get out. This week on March 5, the Independent Practitioners section will host a networking happy hour. Next week on March 12, the Senior Practitioners will follow suit. If you identify with either, or both, of these sections, we welcome you to join in on some scintillating conversations. You’ll surely learn something new from these dynamic professionals.
• Register EARLY for our March 25 monthly luncheon and program. You’ll get a crash course on managing your online reputation from strategist Jon Goldberg. If you’ve noticed lately, our monthly lunches bring in a packed house. Be sure to reserve a seat!
• Show up on March 31 for our PD workshop, Speechwriting 101, in swanky Scott’s Addition. Maximize one of the top benefits of a PRSA membership: Networking. Savor delicious bagels, coffee and other delights. Meet speechwriter extraordinaire, Wendy Martin. Benefit from her knowledge on making memorable, and effective, speeches and written words.
