March President’s Message

Happy March!

This month marks two years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During these two years, we have learned a lot about ourselves, the virus and what we can do as a community. With case and hospitalization numbers on the decline, I am hopeful that we are headed in the right direction.

An exciting step for us, as an organization, is starting to meet in person again for our monthly luncheons – in a new location, nonetheless! I look forward to seeing many of you at the Westwood Country Club on March 31 at 11:45 am. Please note that the luncheon day has moved to Thursdays. As always, we will begin with 30 minutes of networking before lunch, which begins at 12:15 p.m. The program and livestream, which is available for those who are not yet comfortable joining us in person, will begin at 12:30 p.m. Those attending in person will need to certify at registration that they are vaccinated and boosted, and masks are required during all times when attendees are not eating or drinking. Registration for in-person attendance is capped at 50 people so sign up soon!

Our March program will get you ready to submit your PR awards entries! Team members from Padilla and Bon Secours will share their winning 2021 Virginia PR Awards Best in Show entries in the Commonwealth and Capital Awards. Click here to register.

Fast forward to April 1, and the call for entries for the 2022 Virginia PR Awards will be live! Start gathering materials now to share the success of some of your great work from the past year.

As always, I’m here to connect anytime. Please reach out to president@prsarichmond.org anytime.

Have a great – and warm – March and see you soon!
Diana Miller, APR
