PRSA Richmond Adopts Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Promise
In September, the PRSA Richmond board of directors voted to approved the chapter’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Promise.
The promise commits the board and members of PRSA Richmond to the acknowledgement that every individual is valuable to the organization. It’s a pledge and promise to make the organization as diverse, equitable, and inclusive as possible, to honor everyone’s unique background, and to not discriminate against anyone based on race, color, religion, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic information, or any basis protected by law.
“These guidelines are one of PRSA Richmond’s commitments to ‘walking the walk’ of diversity, equity and inclusion – as an organization, for each member and potential member, and for the PR industry and community at large,” said Judi Crenshaw, APR, PRSA Richmond president. “The DE&I Promise provides us with scaffolding to continue to learn and evolve in building an environment that reflects meaningful voices for all.”
