PRSA Richmond Announces 2019 Slate of Officers
The PRSA Richmond membership will vote on the slate of officers to lead the 2019 board of directors at the September 26 luncheon. New officers will be installed on November 28.

President
Judi Crenshaw, APR
Judi Crenshaw, APR, is a faculty member in the public relations department at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Robertson School of Media and Culture. She teaches Technical Writing and Media Relations, Social Media for PR and Foundations of PR. A career in nonprofit communications includes working for the Virginia Council on Economic Education (VCEE), Virginia Repertory Theatre and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (Save the Bay). She has received Virginia Public Relations Awards in Media Relations, Press Conferences, Op-Eds, Video Series and Events. A longtime PRSA board member, Judi has served as president-elect, first vice president of professional development, third vice president of membership, treasurer, chair of the nonprofit section and on the Virginia Public Relations Awards committee.

Windy Campbell
Windy Campbell is owner of Campbell Communications, an independent public relations practice specializing in communications strategy, stakeholder engagement and media relations. For more than 15 years, Windy has served a variety of clients in the business, healthcare, financial services, transportation and non-profit sectors. Windy has been an active PRSA Richmond chapter member since 2002. She has served the board as vice president of membership, secretary, treasurer and chair of the independent practitioners section. Most recently Windy served as first vice president of professional development.

Lindsay O’Bar, APR
Lindsay O’Bar, APR, works at The Hodges Partnership, a strategic communications and marketing agency in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom. She’s been working in public relations for more than 12 years and has been active in PRSA since 2006. Lindsay has served on the PRSA Richmond board as hospitality chair, media relations chair and accreditation chair, each for two years respectively. She joined PRSA Richmond’s executive committee in 2018 as third vice president of membership.

Taya Jarman, APR
Taya Jarman, APR, is an accomplished communications professional with several years’ experience developing and implementing communication strategies that support organizational objectives. She is the communications director for the Virginia Department of Health Office of Family Health Services. In this role, she is responsible for developing guidelines and the overall strategy for the VDHLiveWell brand. Taya holds a Master of Science degree in strategic public relations from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she studied abroad in China. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and leadership from Christopher Newport University and several certifications from the University of Maryland University College, John Hopkins Bloomsburg School of Public Health and University of South Florida. Taya’s PRSA Richmond board service includes acting as the chapter’s treasurer, student relations chair and public service chair.

Diana Burkett, APR
Diana Burkett, APR, is the director of communications and enrollment management at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Education as well as an adjunct faculty member in the VCU Robertson School of Media and Culture. A graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, she has 12 years of experience in integrated communications and public relations, including at the University of Richmond, Pew Center on Global Climate Change, Edelman Public Relations and Chandler Chicco Companies. On the PRSA Richmond board, Diana has previously served as second vice president of awards, secretary, public service co-chair, Next Wave chair and individual awards chair for the Virginia Public Relations Awards.

David Bass
David Bass is the public affairs and communications director at the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) where he oversees and provides strategic direction for VSCPA public affairs, public relations and communications efforts. A graduate of the University of Richmond, David’s prior experience as a public relations practitioner includes working on media and public relations at a Richmond-based agency for Fortune 500 companies, special events and nonprofit clients. David is active in the Richmond community currently serving as president of the Manchester Alliance, president of the Old Manchester Lofts condominium association, vice-chair of Modern Richmond and on the board of the Virginia Jump$tart Coalition. He has served on the PRSA Richmond board since 2016, chairing the professional development workshops, sponsorship fulfillment and media relations committees.

Cletisha Lovelace, APR
Cletisha Lovelace, APR, is a communications and media relations strategist with nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, K-12 and state government. She currently serves as a public relations and media relations specialist in the public affairs division of the Virginia Department of Social Services. She has previously served on the PRSA Richmond board as secretary and chaired the diversity and inclusion committee for two years.
