September President’s Message

andrew-ryan-medAs the dog days of summer begin to wane and Labor Day fast approaches, PRSA Richmond is gearing up for a busy fall! The PRSA Richmond board of directors met in August to discuss and plan a number of exciting initiatives for our members.

September through December is a hectic time of year for everyone, but I encourage you to consider adding PRSA Richmond programs to your schedule. Here are some upcoming events that offer a variety of benefits for our members:

This list is just a sample of what PRSA Richmond has planned for the fall. View the full events calendar.

In order to bring more value to our members, the board of directors has been working diligently to identify and share resources that can benefit your career. In fact, two such resources are included in this month’s newsletter. Check out the article by Jennifer Guild, APR, about PRSA Ethics Month. September is the organization’s month dedicated to promoting ethics awareness and sharing tools to help you.

Also, don’t miss the list of this month’s resources from Amie Cotton, APR. In honor of PRSA’s Diversity Month during August, Amie pulled together a toolkit of diversity and inclusion resources for PR practitioners.

I hope you are as excited for the fall as me! Remember to take advantage of your PRSA membership, and don’t hesitate to contact me at president@prsarichmond.org if you have any questions or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Andrew Ryan, APR
PRSA Richmond President
